Why General James 'Mad Dog' Mattis is a Great Pick as America's Defense Leader

My latest article on President-elect Trump's nomination for General James Mattis as the next Secretary of Defense. I had the pleasure of meeting him frequently as the enlisted military assistant to Secretary of Defense Ash Carter in the Pentagon when he was the U.S. Central Command (U.S. CENTCOM) Commander. This article covers some of the challenges General Mattis may face in obtaining Senate approval, but I'm confident with the "Mad Dog's" high astute career as a marine general officer, giving this country 44 years of service and thriving as an academic scholar, Trump chose the right person for the job.
