Suspect in Virginia cop killing identified as Pentagon Staff Sergeant Ronald Hamilton

The Virginia man accused of killing his wife and a rookie police officer is an active-duty Army staff sergeant assigned the Pentagon, officials told NBC News Sunday.

Ronald Hamilton, 32, is being held without bond on charges of capital murder of a police officer, assault with a fire arm and murder in the first degree, according to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, Elisha Fieldstadt of NBC News reports.
