Military reductions, thought either voluntary or involuntary separation, has raised uncertainty for thousands of airman in the U.S. Air Force. Four months ago, then-Acting Secretary of the Air Force Eric Fanning reported, "over the next five years, the service needs to eliminate as many as 25,000 airmen slots, a reduction that's being driven by the mandatory budget cuts known as sequestration."
